| 2006 | Mirabilis was founded. |
| 2011 | Mirabilis partnered with the largest insurer Santam and acquired CEU from Santam. |
| 2011 | Santam acquired majority shareholding in Mirabilis. |
| 2014 | Mirabilis expands its scope outside Africa to international territories in the Middle East, India and South East Asia |
| 2017 | S&P rated security via agreement with Munich Re of Africa. |
| 2020 | Mirabilis enters into an agreement with New Reinsurance Company Limited (NewRe). NewRe authorises Mirabilis to act as its Agent to underwrite and accept, on its behalf, engineering classes of reinsurance business. |
| 2021 | Mirabilis becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Santam. |
| 2024 | Mirabilis becomes a division of Santam. |
